The three pillars of the Inner Work: Awareness, Presence and Loving Kindness
In the journey of the Diamond Logos Teachings, the inner path is founded on three essential pillars: Awareness, Presence, and Kindness of the Heart. These are not ideals to be attained, but intrinsic qualities of consciousness that, when recognized and cultivated, allow a shift from a life guided by personality—with its automatisms and defenses—to a life rooted in the immediate reality of Being.
Awareness
In its most essential meaning, awareness is the fundamental capacity of consciousness to know and illuminate experience as it unfolds. It is not a function of thought nor an act of will: it is the very light through which sensations, emotions, thoughts, and perceptions become evident.
At this level, awareness is impersonal. There is no subject observing an object, but simply the manifestation of experience in the clarity of consciousness. Nothing is excluded or held back. Like an open space that welcomes every phenomenon, awareness remains silent, stable, and non-identified.
This openness does not aim to change experience. Clarity naturally emerges when what appears is seen as it is.
Presence
Presence is the lived and immediate aspect of this impersonal awareness. It is a relaxed and open state in which consciousness is fully here, rooted in the immediacy of experience, without effort or reactivity.
As presence deepens, reference to a personal self may diminish or temporarily dissolve. In these moments, a sense of unity or vastness can emerge, in which even the senses seem to merge with openness itself. This is not an absence of being, but a non-personal recognition of self: consciousness recognizing itself as Presence.
In these states, there is not yet an exploration of personal experience. There is no story to understand or identity to clarify, but simply the recognition of Being.
The Diamond Body and Personal Consciousness
The Diamond Logos Teachings do not stop at the recognition of impersonal states of Being. The Diamond Body makes it possible to work at the personal level without losing contact with essential truth.
The Diamond Body is the living intelligence of Being that brings clarity, precision, and the capacity for differentiation to individual experience. Through this intelligence, sensations, emotions, thoughts, and memories can be explored with neutrality, without identification or judgment.
Personal experience is neither denied nor analyzed in order to be corrected, but seen for what it is: a transient manifestation of consciousness. This perspective allows us to distinguish what belongs to personality from the essential qualities seeking to emerge through it, fostering a process of integration rather than transcendence.
With practice, presence and awareness bring ever-greater clarity. Consciousness, initially burdened by personal stories, memories, and automatic reactions, begins to purify and reveal its natural transparency. We become able to distinguish with precision bodily sensations, the energetic movements of emotions, mental contents, and the essential qualities that were previously obscured.
The Diamond Body does not judge or correct, but illuminates with loving precision. It is the inner friend that shows us where we are blocked and, at the same time, offers us the keys to understand and dissolve those blocks, revealing the truth of experience as it is.
Compassion and Loving Kindness
In the process of exploration, parts of ourselves inevitably emerge that we welcome easily, and others that we tend to reject. Here the third pillar comes into play: the dimension of the heart—compassion and loving kindness. When we learn to look at ourselves without judgment, with respect and tenderness, the heart opens and inner experience expands.
Kindness of the heart allows us to welcome all parts of ourselves—including those that are wounded, vulnerable, or contracted—as precious expressions of our being. Behind every wound lies a subtle sensitivity, a doorway leading to a deeper and purer dimension of our nature. Through this openness, we come into contact with the essential vulnerability of Being, not as weakness, but as transparency and truth.
Essence and Transformation
From the integration of awareness, presence, and compassion arises the possibility of moving through the layers of personality until we directly perceive the essential dimensions of being: states of consciousness, inner sensory qualities, colors, fragrances, subtle tastes that lead us back to an original innocence—now lived with a mature, embodied, and stable consciousness.
This work guides us to recognize the contents of the mind conditioned by personal stories and egoic wounds, to distinguish them clearly, and to allow them to transform. Awareness thus evolves from a consciousness based on survival and fear to a consciousness inspired by the values of life, in harmony with the natural order of existence.
This is the heart of the Diamond Logos Teachings: a path of truth and delicacy that accompanies us from the noise of personality to the luminous, living, and sensitive stillness of Essence.
