“How I Discovered My Diamond Body”

“THE DIAMOND BODY
Free Your Inner Guide”

In 1966, I began my spiritual journey and therapy in the midst of a sea of confusion, fear, and uncertainty. The 60s were a time of craziness, hallelujahs, fantastic vibes, and LSD. I moved to Berkeley to study science and studied architecture, math, and physics. My friend Hamid (Hamid: A.H. Almaas) and I both struggled, seeking therapy to ground ourselves while continuing our studies.

I found comfort in bioenergetic therapy, which saved my life and, unlike other spiritual pursuits, was down-to-earth. During this period, I experienced an energetic awakening, a shakti kundalini awakening that brought light and energy into my life. This experience frightened me, so I sought a teacher to understand what had happened.

I didn’t desire spirituality or enlightenment; I wanted to be normal, finish my studies, return to Kuwait to teach, and become the Minister of Education. I was passionate about the idea of transforming the entire educational system in the Middle East. My spiritual experiences led me to Claudio Naranjo, who encouraged me to explore various spiritual masters and traditions, including Buddhism and Sufism. While remaining cautious, I continued to study with different teachers.

Realizing the Absolute

In 1976, I experienced a breakthrough: I encountered Pure Awareness and Pure Being. After this breakthrough, I felt guided to bring this Pure Awareness into my physical body rather than dissolving into it. As I meditated and integrated the light into my body, I noticed there was a bit of holding in the perineum and sacrum and discovered that a part of the Ego was still hidden there. After a year of cleansing and immersion in the Absolute, I felt that it had entered my bones and marrow, organs, and fascia. I was transforming my body without knowing what I was transforming it into. I felt my body become lighter, alive, grounded, and spacious.

One day, while meditating, I felt Pure Awareness above my head. I looked down and saw myself, Faisal, sitting in the lotus position on my cushion, meditating, but I didn’t see myself as the Faisal I knew. I saw a person made of diamonds of different colors imbued with shining green, blue, and gold. It was so beautiful and exciting, and I realized: “This is me.”

I was not the person I knew as “me.” What I had seen was me as a diamond entity.

At that time, I was reading “The Encyclopedia of Spirituality,” and one of the names I found in the book was “The Diamond Body.” The Diamond Body was the “specialty of the Taoists.” In the years following this discovery, I was so much in the Diamond Body and was excited about it, and I discovered that it was the true me. But I also knew that it was “the guide” and what the Sufis called “the celestial witness” or “your celestial counterpart.” My feeling has always been to seek this guide.

From that moment on, the Diamond Body has been my guide. Whenever I get lost or receive teachings, I check if the Diamond Body is present in my field, and if I feel that the teaching comes from the Diamond Body, I know that what I am receiving is valid guidance. If it doesn’t come from the Diamond Body, it could come from anything, and I am very suspicious. I only trust the teachings if I recognize that the Diamond Body is there.
