The Essential Quality of Space in the Diamond Logos Teachings

In the inner work of the Diamond Logos Teachings, the essential quality of Space is a fundamental condition—a doorway to the possibility of opening to the deeper dimensions of Being. It is not just a metaphor, but a real quality of inner experience: a sense of openness, lightness, freshness, and the absence of boundaries.

Inner Space manifests as a relaxation of the mind, heart, and body. When thoughts begin to disperse, emotions settle, and the body deeply relaxes, a subtle and vivid perception of emptiness can arise: an inner space where anything can happen. Just as a room must be uncluttered to host activity, our inner life must also be free of any kind of congestion to allow the flow of Essence.

This state of Space is not empty in the ordinary sense. On the contrary, it is full of potential: an open field in which other essential qualities—such as love, will, strength, compassion—can emerge. In it, there is silence, but a living silence; stillness, but a pulsating stillness. Space is therefore the necessary basis for any inner transformation.

The Sensory Experience of Space

When we experience Space, the sense of personal self becomes more subtle. The mind is no longer agitated, the heart no longer contracted, the belly no longer closed. A diffuse sense of lightness opens: the body becomes airy, thoughts disperse like clouds in the sky, and consciousness can rest in the present moment.

In this openness, a sense of freshness and newness often appears. Unlike recurring emotions or repetitive thoughts, Space is always new, always fresh—like mountain air after a rain, pure and revitalizing.

Another important aspect that emerges in the presence of inner Space is freedom—freedom from fixed images, beliefs, roles, and identities. When Space opens, we realize we can be many things: a dancer, a thinker, a sage, a lover… The rigidity of personality dissolves and gives way to the fluidity of Being. We can play with our roles without being imprisoned by them.

Space and Creativity

Inner Space is also the foundation of creativity. Only in a state of open mind can new visions, images, and insights arise. Artists and visionaries—consciously or unconsciously—tap into this quality when they create. The freer the mind is from rigid structures, the more the field of consciousness can welcome new and surprising forms.

Creativity, in this sense, is not only artistic expression—it is the ability to live in an original, fluid, and vibrant way. It is the ability to respond to life with spontaneity, rather than automatic reactions. And this spontaneity is born directly from Space.

Cultivating Inner Space

The ego, accustomed to defining itself through tension, thoughts, emotions, and roles, perceives Space as a threat: “If I let go of everything, what remains of me?” And so defenses emerge—contraction in the body, repetitive thoughts, rigidity of identity. The experience of Space can initially be met with fear.

Cultivating Space means learning to let go, to open, to welcome what is without defending against it. It means learning to rest in the lightness, freshness, and freedom of the present moment.
